Begin: 15:20 CET, 12-Nov-2024 Participants: Axel, Philippe, Nils, Piyali, Matthias PCSC meeting 1) Meeting agenda approved 2) Secretary of the meeting (Piyali) 3) Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting (unanimously approved) 4) Include Alberto Roper Pol (University of Geneva) as owner was proposed by Axel and agreed by all and Philippe to email him. Philippe suggested to add to ToR that no individual owner has the right to delete the PC repository on GitHub unless decided unanimously by the PCSC. All members agreed to this proposal. Axel proposed to draft the modification. 5) The point on removal of owners was raised by Axel. Why is it important? Because, "All major changes must be approved by all owners with a 2/3 majority." (see ToR) Philippe reported that opinion/feedback was requested of all owners regarding removing owners who are not actively involved or left the community. The feedback from 5 people (Maarit, Simon, Hongzhe, Nils, Anders) were received. For rest of 15 owners there were no response. Nils opined that owners have to be part of decisions, willing to take the responsibility. Does the existing owner wish to continue taking on the responsibility. Matthias suggested that "inactive" owners can be asked how they wish to proceed. Inert owner could become a caretaker or become a regular user or some other term like administrator, guardian, etc (to be brainstormed with the owners). Philippe volunteers to write up the background for this change and circulate it amongst PCSC. 6) Location of the next PCUM PCUM options as summarised by Philippe a. Pune, India (2026 or later) b. Geneva, Switzerland (1st option for 2025) c. Braunschweig, Germany (Back up for 2025) d. Alicante, Spain (2026 or later) 7) PCSC member election status report. Matthias reported some delay in planning due to other pressing commitments. Have to check who is eligible to vote amongst the community. Matthias to send an email to all eligible voters to confirm.
